Sketches from Nicaragua

One of my favorite experiences and sights in various towns of Nicaragua were these old American school buses that were painted in bright colors and given new life as a major form of public transportation. They are called chicken buses by locals and visitors perhaps because of their original color or due to the fact that locals often use them to trasport various possessions including live stock and chickens.
