    This brand new eight week course is designed for sketchers who want to explore how drawing can be a powerful tool for communication and visual storytelling. Students will develop the ability to make strong editorial choices—focusing on essential elements and bringing clarity to a visual story. A wide range of classic and contemporary examples of reportage illustration as well as exciting field projects will help students develop their own visual voice.

    Location: Setúbal, Portugal

    Immersive reportage sketching workshop in Setúbal, Portugal—a perfect blend of practical urban-sketching lessons and a master-class on visual reportage. Over four days, participants of all skill levels will explore the working fishing port, the lively market, and the people whose daily rhythms are shaped by the sea, learning to observe keenly and draw with purpose. We will use on-location sketching and narrative-building guidance to capture both the look and the lived stories of this port town in a visual journal.
